Patrizia Cassaniti
Touched By Christopher
Patrizia Cassaniti leaves a lasting and deeply emotional impact on every audience she addresses — not only during her powerful safety presentations, but in every interaction she has. Following the tragic and entirely preventable incident that claimed the life of her 18-year-old son, Patrizia transformed her profound grief into a driving force for positive change.
Through her unwavering commitment, she has influenced individuals, workplaces, and government agencies to prioritise safety, inspiring tangible improvements in workplace practices and culture. Her advocacy has reached across industries, challenging complacency, sparking vital conversations, and prompting legislative and organisational reform.
Patrizia’s unique combination of lived experience, courage, and determination makes her a force to be reckoned with. Her work continues to save lives, protect workers, and honour the memory of her son by ensuring that no other family endures the same preventable loss. She is not only a safety advocate — she is a catalyst for change.
What's one thing others should know about her?
Patrizia Cassaniti delivers a powerful and transformative message that takes workers on an emotional and thought-provoking journey into the harsh reality of workplace tragedy. Drawing from her own devastating loss — the tragic death of her 18-year-old son in a preventable construction incident — she exposes the consequences that occur when complacency overrides known safe practices.
As a keynote speaker, Patrizia’s mission is clear and unwavering: to challenge complacent mindsets, empower individuals to speak up in the face of unsafe conditions, and inspire a renewed commitment to safety grounded in personal responsibility. She reminds every worker that their greatest reason for working safely is not just themselves, but the loved ones who depend on them returning home each day.
Beyond the stage, Patrizia is the founder of Touched by Christopher, a unique and one-of-a-kind charity that provides financial assistance to families affected by workplace fatalities and life-changing injuries. Through her advocacy and the charity’s work, she not only changes mindsets but also delivers tangible support to those enduring the unimaginable.
Patrizia’s impact is profound and lasting — transforming attitudes, influencing workplace cultures, and giving a voice to those who can no longer speak for themselves.
